Welcome to Mapleton Middle School
At Mapleton Middle School, we help students make the transition between grade school and high school. We believe that a successful transition requires both academic preparation as well a healthy dose of 'life skills' that range from a general social maturity to organization, communication, and time management. To this end, all students take core academic classes including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, computers, physical education, health, and foreign language. Student also have elective options to explore their own interests including art and woodshop. Mapleton Middle School students are furthermore encouraged to participate in school sports and the after-school program as well as after-school activities hosted by the Student Council throughout the year.
Like many schools in our county, Mapleton Middle School operates on a four-day school week. Because of this, we have an extended school day: 8:10am-3:43pm. On most weeks, school operates Monday-Thursday.
