High School students were recently recognized for Quarter 1 attendance and Honor Roll recognition. Congratulations to all students who have earned 90+% attendance, which means no more than one absence every three weeks. Shout out to our 4.0 GPA awardees: Natalee Stevens, Lucie Burruss, Amira Green, Kaylee Campbell, Milena Mcmurray, Hunter Morgan, and Isabelle Tuttle!

Each month, elementary students who work hard to demonstrate our four core values are recognized with the Golden Otter Award. Teachers nominate students for individual awards, and educational assistants and specials teachers nominate a class. Before break, Ms. Jackson's 3rd graders were the proud recipients of the class award. Congratulations to Willow, Dexter, Emma, Deegan, and Lucien!

We are excited to share the various renovations to our campus. There is a new safety gate on the elementary campus. When you arrive down the stairs, please follow the sign for opening the gate! Our students have renovated the teen room in our newly floored MS/Community Resource Center building. Additionally, we received a $200K grant from Lane Community Health Council to upgrade the health resource center for private meetings and telehealth calls. And, soon you will see new fencing, a new industrial greenhouse, and a student built chilcken coop in the lower field garden (and the smaller greenhouse is headed to elementary!)

Regular attendance means attending school 90+% of more, which means no more than one absence every three weeks. We are excited to report that heading into the new year, 94% of 6-12 graders and 96% of K-5 students have met this goal! Thank you for your support of our attendance goals! Students - stay tuned for attendance incentive trips.

On Monday, January 19, 2026, our district joins the nation in honoring the life and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This holiday serves as a vital reminder of Dr. King’s unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and social change. Observed as a National Day of Service, the holiday encourages our students, staff, and families to transform Dr. King’s teachings into action by engaging in community volunteer projects. By participating in this "day on, not a day off," we reaffirm our dedication to building a more inclusive community and upholding the values of dignity and respect. HOOTS Clinics
A reminder that HOOTS is hosting two clinics each week (Mon & Wed) for MS/HS students. Clinics are always free, confidential, voluntary, and available to all students. Clinic teams include a crisis worker and an EMT or RN, services are HIPAA compliant, and HOOTS can provide short term counseling, crisis intervention, basic first aid and community referrals. At the clinics, youth can meet with a professionally trained crisis counselor, an EMT or RN to discuss their needs and options. The team is there to provide extra support to students on a range of topics such as: mental health, physical health, accessing resources, school life, home life, interpersonal relationships, family relationships, substance use or abuse and more. The clinic can also connect students to ongoing resources such as assistance finding long term counseling and getting them signed up for OHP.
