Senior Spotlight: Ramil Beers

Mr. Ramil Beers has been a student in the Mapleton School District since fifth grade. At MHS, Ramil has served as an Outdoor School counselor, Vice President of the Mapleton Student Council, and a member of countless school committees dedicated to providing student voice and helping shape the future of MHS and the Mapleton community.

Ramil has lettered in soccer and track and field and competed at the state level in the 100 meters. He is also the 2026 Valedictorian.

His favorite class has been Honors Engineering because of its problem-solving curriculum. Ramil’s favorite teachers are Mr. Burruss and Mr. Ford because they have had a major influence on his life and helped shape who he is today.

Ramil has many favorite memories with his friends throughout high school and cannot narrow them down to just one. However, one particularly funny memory involved a six-foot tube of sand. If you want more details, you will need to connect with Ramil and Jacob Burchell—otherwise, “if you know, you know.”

Ramil’s advice to his peers is to “lock in and do stuff outside of school just as much as in school.”

Next fall, Ramil will attend Oregon State University, where he plans to major in psychology and neuroscience.

Thank you, Ramil, for always being willing to pitch in and help in any situation. Your work ethic, intelligence, and ability to think critically and creatively are legendary. You are deeply appreciated!
